Wisconsin & Michigan HOMES Programs – the Rubber Meets the Road

Similar to the efficiency programs we have long known and loved, the HOMES IRA programs are filled with challenges and opportunities. This session will focus on lessons learned from the successful first-in-the-nation launch of Wisconsin’s HOMES program and the Michigan HOMES program that followed shortly thereafter. Our perspective will focus on CLEAResult’s software implementation, joined by Wisconsin and Michigan contractors to offer their perspective in navigating these programs. After two years of planning, we finally have live programs to discuss, and we want to bring a frank discussion so other contractors and administrators can have a sense of what to expect when HOMES meets their state. We will mix in real-time data of program progress, example data from homes treated in the programs, and overall lessons learned from the field. The contractors’ perspectives will highlight challenges to solve and paths to success in designing a program for maximal market adoption.

  • Understand some of the challenges faced in launching IRA HOMES Programs, from the implementer, software vendor and contractor perspective
