Air contaminants cannot be eliminated, but they can be managed effectively. As more homes are weatherized, indoor air quality (IAQ) becomes more of a concern. In this session, we will address the essential elements of IAQ and its management, including controlling pollutant sources and reducing pollutants with ventilation (ASHRAE 62.2). Additionally, we will discuss the important topics of combustion sources of pollution and moisture control.
Learning Objectives:
By attending this session, attendees will:
Know how to reduce indoor air pollution with ventilation, air cleaning, and filtration
Describe methods of controlling and managing sources of indoor air pollution
List ten common contaminants of indoor air, including the major contaminants of concern
