This session’s presenters will demonstrate the importance of valuing energy efficiency to increase homeowner investment in energy upgrades, and discuss the use of DOE tools and programs to achieve this end. Presenters will discuss how DOE's Home Energy Score is deployed through market-based, regulatory, and incentive programs to drive proper valuation of home energy features. Session presenters will explain how home energy features are - or are not - communicated in real estate transactions from seller, to listing agent, to buyer, to the buyer’s agent, and to the appraiser.
