Women for a Healthy Environment
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Amanda Jimcosky (she/her) is the Program Manager for Women for a Healthy Environment’s Healthy Homes Asthma Program, which provides home renovations for low-income families with children in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. As someone who grew up in rural Pennsylvania and settled in Pittsburgh, she is passionate about revitalizing the Commonwealth’s housing stock in equitable and sustainable ways to prolong the lifespan of existing structures while increasing capital for our most marginalized communities. By centering public health, she hopes to develop a system that adequately considers the health of occupants and workers, the needs of a residential construction workforce, and long-term outcomes.
