Núria is an architect and engineer from UC Berkeley and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). She worked in the SinBerBEST Project at UC Berkeley, focusing on energy-efficient building envelopes, and was the lead architect for UC Berkeley’s 3rd-place team in the US DOE 2017 Solar Decathlon. Her expertise lies in researching innovative, sustainable, and healthy building solutions for residential retrofits. Trained in various architectural firms and the Building Laboratory at UPC, she also worked as a Research Assistant at UNESCO-Paris in the Management of Social Transformations (MOST) program. In 2004, she co-founded TC ESTUDI Arquitectura in Barcelona, specializing in energy retrofitting, energy poverty, affordable housing, and public buildings. She joined the UPC faculty in 2004, serving until 2012. In 2020, she became a postdoctoral fellow at LBNL, focusing on energy retrofits, occupant health, and indoor environmental quality.
