Michaela Marincic is a Senior Research & Data Analyst for Three3 and specializes in using data analytics, machine learning, mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) for social good. Marincic has recently collaborated with the United Way of Greater Knoxville, University of Tennessee Medical Center, and the Tennessee Valley Authority on a range of topics: measuring health equity metrics for 21 mostly rural counties; assessing community-level food insecurity; evaluating access to childcare and early education; and analyzing Medicaid data to measure weatherization program impacts. They are a co-author on the forthcoming DOE report on estimated energy burdens for participants in the national Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and have contributed to research on health benefits resulting from low-income residential weatherization throughout the Southeastern, Midwestern, and Northeastern United States. Marincic has also led qualitative interviews with refugees to assess their unmet needs during the COVID-19 pandemic and performed numerous interviews with weatherization recipients about their health and experiences with energy efficiency services. Marincic holds an M.S. in Public Policy, Management, and Data Analytics from Carnegie Mellon University, where they managed the creation of an open-access asset mapping tool for community and economic development.
