As the Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy of the Building Performance Association, Kara Saul Rinaldi works to educate state and federal policymakers and regulators about residential energy efficiency and whole home energy efficiency policy initiatives including leading its work on energy efficiency and the clean air act, advancing the smart home, and reforming cost-effectiveness testing. A leading energy and climate policy expert, Kara has directed national policy, communications, and grassroots campaigns spearheading education efforts with the Administration and Congress on tax, appropriations, and authorization issues for national and international NGOs and corporations. Prior to working with BPA, Kara was the climate and energy policy lead at Environmental Resources Management, Director of Government and Public Affairs for Owens Corning, Senior Director of Policy for the Alliance to Save Energy and a legislative and communications advocate on the Climate Change Campaign at World Wildlife Fund.
