Jason Schmidt is a Technical Project Specialist for the Building Technologies Research and Integration Center (BTRIC) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Jason works as part of a team to help coordinate the IBUILD Fellowship, the JUMP into STEM Competition, BTRIC Technical Collaborations, and Weatherization Assistant in BTRIC.
His work at ORNL includes communication, project coordination, and data management expertise deployed in several contexts including agreement tracking (CRADAs, SPPs, UAs), event planning, professional development, and website management.
Prior to his work at ORNL, Jason served in diverse roles including manager for a local online farmers' market in Oak Ridge, garden manager for the St. Mary's Community garden, farm manager for the short-lived Woodside City Farm, science teacher, and product developer.
Jason has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master in Teaching from Western Washington University.
