Barry Reaves is the Vice President of DEIJ/Workforce Development and Environmental Justice at The Alliance for Climate Transition (ACT), formerly the Northeast Clean Energy Council, the Northeast's largest nonprofit and trade organization dedicated to accelerating a just and equitable transition to a clean energy economy. Founded in 2006, ACT leverages its 300+ members—including multinational utilities, climate-tech startups, academic institutions, and community-based organizations —to catalyze innovation and policy that drive decarbonization and inclusivity.
Barry's responsibilities at ACT include offering DEIJ and Workforce development solutions across various sectors within the clean energy industry, such as energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy, combined heat and power, energy storage, fuel cells, advanced
technologies, and more.
Barry's background includes graduation from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, where he received training in Diversity and Inclusion, Equal Opportunity, and Equal Employment Opportunity. With 18 years of service in the U.S. Army, Barry deeply understands
diverse leadership development, diversity and inclusion programming, analytics, and effectiveness. He is a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE) and an Executive Certified Diversity Coach (ECDC). As a Certified Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) Professional, Barry combines workforce development expertise with project management to ensure success.
