Derrick Meeking is the Director of Workforce Development at Walker-Miller Energy Services, leading efforts to expand career pathways and business opportunities in clean energy and energy efficiency while advancing the company’s mission of “Empowering People and Enriching Communities.” With over 15 years of experience in workforce development, nonprofit management, and economic empowerment, he has developed and led initiatives that create lasting impact in marginalized communities. Derrick has held key roles at City Year Detroit, Focus: HOPE, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and Empowerment Plan. A recognized thought leader, he has presented on workforce development at national conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University.
