Mike Hunter

Weatherization Trainer

Michael Hunter is a Weatherization Trainer for the Indoor Climate Research & Training group in Champaign, Illinois. Prior to becoming a trainer, Mike took on a number of roles within the Weatherization Program, ultimately becoming the Weatherization Program Coordinator for his LAA. Mike holds multiple certifications through the Building Performance Institute as a Home Energy Professional, and has decades of experience as a private general contractor. He is known for his problem-solving skills and his approach to instruction, which encourages all participants to teach and to learn from one another. Mike strives to improve the quality of his training, the experiences of his students, and the overall benefits for WAP clients.
