Bill Parlapiano

Bill Parlapiano, is Director, Business Insights, Knauf Insulation, now in his 13th year, leading a team gathering business intelligence for strategic decision-making and he also manages industry partnerships. Bill has extensive experience, including a decade on ACI board leading to the transition to NHPC. He also served on multiple industry & publication boards. He co-chaired the Residential HVAC committee at Consortium for Energy Efficiency, contributing to a paper influencing ANSI/ACCA HVAC QI standards, a proud legacy. He is published in HVAC & IAQ textbooks, as well as papers, Bill holds 20+ credentials and a Bachelor of Science, Siena College. After six years flying aerial intelligence missions in the US Army, his career spans leadership in a consulting company conducting building science investigations stemming from IAQ complaints, before building performance existed. He lead a residential division & commercial project office for a large NY mechanical contractor, lead training for one of the largest national home performance contractors. He has worked for an energy program implementer, NYSERDA, and served as CEO of BPI during a rapid expansion phase, overseeing the ANSI standards transition & DOE/EPA/HUD/NYSERDA grants. His diverse career offers unique perspectives from across the building, trade & energy efficiency industries.
