Samantha Spergel has worked at Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) since January 2016 as the Director of Real Estate Strategic Initiatives and Engagement, where she oversees the agency's HUD capital funding including the Healthy Homes Resource Program, manages technical assistance and capacity building for nonprofits, provides regulatory guidance, management training and insight into development innovations.
Samantha has been interviewed for Affordable Housing Finance Magazine, and Evidence Matters, the Quarterly Magazine for HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research. Samantha has also presented at a variety of conferences, including the Council for Engagement and Outreach, Indiana Association of Regional Councils, Accelerate Indiana Municipalities, the Indiana Housing Conference, Indiana Township Trustees Conference, American Bar Association Affordable Housing Annual Conference and the Opportunity Zone Consortium Workshop. Samantha is a former chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative and Equitable Development Summit and is a ULI Health Leader and currently serves on the Board of the Indiana Women in Affordable Housing Chapter.
Samantha holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster, and a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University.
