Chuck Morse is the Executive Director of Thrive New Orleans, an organization dedicated to fostering economic opportunity, climate resilience, and community stability. Thrive's efforts center on workforce development, small business support, and youth and family engagement. The organization is notably the City of New Orleans' National Disaster Resiliency Operator and its Energy Smart Outreach Partner.
Morse has been instrumental in addressing economic inequalities and climate change, emphasizing community resilience. Thrive's workforce program trains individuals in green infrastructure installation and aids small businesses in securing relevant contracts.
In addition to his role at Thrive, Morse is deeply involved in the community, holding various leadership positions. He serves as President of the Hoffman Triangle Neighborhood Association, Chair of the Small Business, Workforce & Culture Committee, and is on the New Orleans Infrastructure Advisory Board Committee. He also participates in several advisory boards and councils, including the National League of Cities and JP Morgan Chase’s Advancing Cities Leadership Team.
Morse previously served as Secretary in the Louisiana Office of Tourism and vice chair of the Greater New Orleans Water Collaborative. His academic background includes degrees from Virginia State University, the University of New Orleans, and Union Baptist College Theological Seminary in New Orleans.
