Technical Relations Representative Building Performance Institute (BPI) Tobaccoville, North Carolina
2024 saw activity in terms of standard updates, certificate development, process improvements, and strategic planning at BPI. BPI staff will provide an industry update for attendees on the latest information on BPI standards and certifications and changes at BPI. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask important questions related to certifications, standards, and the role they play now and in the future. In particular, ideas as to other home performance areas to address with standards and certifications are sought as we strive to remain "your BPI".

By attending this session, attendees will:
Summarize new certificates being/recently developed by BPI and develop an expectation as to completion date, intended audience, and abilities acquired after successful completion
Develop an understanding of how the U.S. Department of Energy assesses certifications e.g. "Energy Skilled" and the relative value to a contractor's potential to leverage IRA and WAP efforts
List key standard updates and anticipate standards targeted for future revision
